Still Life Inspiration

First launched in 2020, the Morandi design draws inspiration from the Still Life art genre and Italian artist Giorgio Morandi (1890-1964). CittΓ  designer Imogen Tunnicliffe drew on this influence to create a range that echoes the calm and simplicity of his still life compositions.

The Morandi design reflects this influence with horizontal lines and blocks of colour, reminiscent of the backgrounds in Morandi’s still life paintings. Weaving techniques explore the interaction of colours, offering a sophisticated and pared-back palette.Β
